Arc School Ansley, part of the Kedleston Group, opened in 2014. They are an independent specialist day school for children and young people aged between 11 and 17. With an experienced team, they are dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communicational, cognition and learning needs.

Many of their pupils have experienced significant difficulties in mainstream school as a result of their associated social, emotional and mental health difficulties. They support children and young people through specialist teaching and intervention including a range of therapeutic supports.

During a recent refurbishment, the school were aiming to improve the lighting in their classrooms. CEF Grantham together with Fusion Luminaires recommended LED backlit panels to replace the old fluorescent fittings. A total of 144 backlit panels and 25 emergency packs were fitted throughout the school. After installation, it was clear that the new LED luminaires provided an excellent light output as well as energy and cost saving advantages. With a 30,000 hour long life span, the school can also expect reduced associated maintenance costs.
